On-Site Transmissivity Test Cell

Atlanta Aerospace is fully equipped with an on-site Transmissivity test chamber. Each radome is initially tested during preliminary inspection and then proceeds through the repair process to be tested again prior to final inspection. Click here for information.

Facilities

Atlanta Aerospace Composites is housed within a 25,000 square foot facility located on the Griffin, Georgia Airport (6a2) about 25 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia. The facility is designed and constructed for composite repair work, composite repair training, and sheet metal repair work.

The building has a climate controlled “clean room” for quality layups. A grind room is used specifically to grind out damage of composite parts. Ovens, hot bonders, vacuum systems, and all needed equipment is available to ensure the highest quality of repair work.

A sheet metal shop and a paint shop are housed within the building. A modern anechoic radome test chamber has been constructed within the hangar portion to allow us to perform a transmissivity test on radomes. A 10,000 square foot hangar is used to house general aviation and corporate aircraft when repairs are performed.
